Franklin-Williamson Bi-County Health Department acts as your official registrar for the two counties.

What does that mean for you?
We record birth and death certificates for every resident who was born or passed away in Franklin or Williamson county. We only keep birth and death certificates for 10 years from birth/death date. If it has been more than 10 years you will have to reach out to the Courthouse in the county of birth/death.

We provide funeral directors with burial permits for your loved ones. We maintain all pertinent data regarding residents of Franklin and Williamson county.

If you are in need of certified copies of birth certificates, death certificates or burial permits you may address the office and we can issue these documents to you with proper ID.

In addition we also coordinate with the Illinois Department of Public Health – Vital Records division. You may obtain more than just Franklin and Williamson county records by following the link below.
