Emergency Planning and Preparedness

emergency2.jpgFranklin-Williamson Bi-County Health Department (FWBCHD) plans, prepares, and responds to public health emergencies that may affect, and could potentially harm, people. Examples of such public health emergencies include pandemic flu, food-based diseases, natural disasters, hazardous releases and terrorism.   Before, during and after major disasters, FWBCHD staff work in a variety of ways, in a coordinated response, to protect residents.
